Born in Vancouver, BC, Kirsten studied art history at UBC (BA), fine arts at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, and graphic design + illustration at Capilano College.
For eight years she worked as a designer for an internationally distributed home wares company designing kitchen and tabletop linens, dinnerware, cushions, bags etc, as well as marketing materials such as packaging and catalogs.
In 2007 she moved with her family to Penticton, BC, to a home surrounded by orchards and vineyards at the beginning of the Naramata Bench. Here, there is no shortage of inspiration and subject matter for her lush, moody oil paintings, and she continues to do graphic design work for various local businesses and non-profits.
Kirsten is a member of the Tumbleweed Gallery
artist collective in Penticton, and her paintings are also on display and available for purchase at Lanyon Home
, 95 Ellis St, Penticton.
